NEXTpittsburgh recently published an article called, "4 Reasons Why Pittsburgh Is Becoming a Buzz City."
The article details why Pittsburgh is a thriving city that embraces community development and growth. Current residents serve as consultants and innovative problem solvers.
At Scenic Pittsburgh, we strive to empower these residents by serving as a voice in the public space for the public good. We advocate for sustainable place-making and sound public policy in order to rid our city and region of visual blight.
We support organizations who work tirelessly to maintain the scenic beauty of Pittsburgh. One of the reasons why Pittsburgh is becoming a "Buzz City" is because environmental non-profits like Tree Pittsburgh and the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy have created green master plans to strategically approach our urban forests.
Along with these established organizations, community members are working with their City Council representatives to develop plans to address issues of traffic, sewage and storm water mitigation. One such community is District 7, which encompasses Oakland, Etna and the Hill District.
With such strong community support and dedicated nonprofit organizations, Pittsburgh will continue to grow and thrive.
